Vitamin Angels works to support “universal distribution” and “targeted distribution” of vitamin A in countries defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as experiencing moderate to severe vitamin A deficiency. We also support prevention of soil-transmitted helminths (STH) through mass drug administration (MDA) for deworming, which is often given together with vitamin A to children under five years.
Module 1 is designed to prepare you to provide universal vitamin A supplementation (VAS) and deworming. The course focuses on both VAS service delivery for prevention of vitamin A deficiency (VAD) among children ages 6 to 59 months and on mass drug administration (MDA) of deworming to prevent STH in preschool children ages 12 to 59 months.

Vitamin Angels prenatal multivitamins are intended to be distributed to women of reproductive age, including those capable of pregnancy, trying to conceive, currently pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding, who are experiencing barriers to accessing prenatal multivitamins. Each bottle contains 180 capsules, which is a 6-month supply. We ask that you provide 1 bottle per client in need, and we encourage you to walk through key messages with each client upon distribution. This module is intended to prepare you for effective distribution of Multiple Micronutrient Supplements or MMS for pregnant women.

Record keeping is an important part of any health service activity. There are different types of record-keeping tools. Vitamin Angels highly recommends you use available government record-keeping tools and reporting forms to capture distribution of Vitamin Angels donated products. If those resources are not available to you, you can use the following tools to assist you with your record-keeping.

Vitamin Angels requires twice a year submission of reports throughout the grant cycle. The first report is the 6-month check in report which provides information on the inventory status of the grant. The second one is the annual report which tracks the distribution of the commodities provided by Vitamin Angels and must be completed in order to receive additional supplies.
